FSWC Charlotte has earned a letter grade of “A” each year from the Florida Department of Education since FLDOE began issuing school grades. Without exception, FSWC Charlotte has maintained an “A” each school year with our students scoring as one of the top performing schools in the state.
FSWC Charlotte has been designated as a “School of Excellence” by the FLDOE and is ranked in the 80th percentile of high performing high schools in the State of Florida. In addition, the U.S. Department of Education recognizes FSWC Charlotte as a “National Blue Ribbon School” within our great nation – the only NBRS designated school in Charlotte County, Florida.”
While our history of outstanding student performance and school grades are impressive, the manner in which they were earned is our real story. FSWC Charlotte operates with an open enrollment policy using a random lottery system. We focus on delivering honors level academic content in grades 9 and 10 with an emphasis on critical thinking and communication skills. We foster the development of independent learners through formative assignments and prepare our students for college level coursework through summative assessments. We provide our students with opportunities to build their college readiness skills and behaviors to ensure their successful journey in grades 11 and 12 as they participate in early college admissions. Our faculty are dedicated educators who are committed to our school’s mission and willing to assist students in all of their academic endeavors.
